Hi, I’m Karan Gupta. Thanks for stopping by.

For most of my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of AI & data systems thinking, and human behavior. I spend my days partnering with senior technology leaders (i.e., CIOs, CTOs, and Chief Data/AI Officers) across Fortune 100 companies. That vantage point gives me a rare look into what’s actually happening inside large enterprises: what’s working, what isn’t, and what’s quietly reshaping the future behind the scenes.
Somewhere along the way, I realized that the biggest breakthroughs weren’t just technical, they were agentic. They came from understanding how people, organizations, and intelligent systems behave as "agents": driven by incentives, shaped by context, constantly adapting. Once I started viewing the world through this lens, things that seemed chaotic suddenly made sense.
This blog is my space to unpack those ideas slowly, honestly, and in public.
I write to make sense of what I’m seeing every day, the experiments Fortune 100 leaders are running, the emerging patterns across industries, and the questions we’re all wrestling with as AI becomes more agentic and more deeply embedded in how we work.
Here, you’ll find my thoughts on:
- The Agentic Operating Model — how companies can re-architect themselves for AI-native decision-making
- The Future of the Agentic Workforce — how roles, skills, and collaboration evolve when AI becomes a partner, not a tool
- The Tech & Data Foundations for Agentic Platforms — the real (and often messy) work required to make agentic systems scale
- And broader reflections on incentives, alignment, complex systems, and how humans and AI learn to coexist productively
More than anything, this is a place for me to bring together the ideas, conversations, and patterns that I see across my work—so that anyone, not just executives, can learn from them.
If you’re curious about the agentic future, I’d love for you to stick around.

Thanks for being here.
